The transformer needs to undergo multiple inspections before operation to ensure its safe and reliable operation.
1. Appearance inspection
Before conducting an electrical inspection, we need to conduct an appearance inspection first. The main purpose is to check whether the equipment has any abnormal conditions such as damage, corrosion, deformation, etc. First, check whether there is oil or debris on the surface of the transformer, especially on the insulation structure; secondly, check whether the terminal of the equipment is loose or the positive and negative poles are connected in reverse; finally, check whether the motor or fan of the equipment is running abnormally to ensure the normal and stable operation of the equipment.
2. Wiring inspection
Wiring inspection is very important and requires strict inspection links, which mainly ensures that there are no problems with the power supply of the equipment. First, the wiring should be checked for standardization and correctness, whether the welding is firm, and whether there are abnormal conditions such as short circuit or open circuit; secondly, the tightness of the cable and the softness of plugging and unplugging should be checked to prevent accidents such as short circuit or spark; finally, electrical testing of the connecting wires should be carried out.
3. Measurement and inspection
Measurement and inspection are important means of evaluating the electrical performance indicators of equipment. Dry type transformers usually need to undergo insulation resistance measurement, turn-to-turn short-circuit test, and ratio test. The results of these inspections will directly reflect the electrical performance and operating conditions of the equipment. When conducting these inspections, it is necessary to strictly follow the specifications and be equipped with appropriate measuring equipment for testing.
4. Insulation inspection
The insulation performance of dry type transformers is one of the core indicators of transformer operation. Insulation inspection mainly checks the state of the transformer insulation structure and whether it is damaged or aged. When conducting insulation inspection, it is necessary to use a suitable insulation tester to test insulation resistance, dielectric loss, discharge and other functional indicators.
5. Debugging and confirmation before the transformer is put into operation
Voltage adjustment: According to the voltage test value of the power grid, adjust the tap or tap switch to the appropriate position.
Multiple power supply tests: Generally, power is supplied three times with an interval of not less than 5 minutes each time, which ensures that the transformer and its protection devices are in the condition of live operation.
Debugging of the temperature control box or temperature display: Ensure that it is debugged and operated normally before putting the transformer into operation.
Reasons for these inspections before transformer operation
Prevent equipment damage: By checking the cooling system and wiring, potential problems can be discovered and solved in time to avoid equipment damage caused by overheating or short circuit.
